# How To Make It:

01 - Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
02 - Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties approximately 3/4-inch thick. Create a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
03 - Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat until properly hot.
04 - Grill patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, flipping once during cooking. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the final minute and cover to melt.
05 - Lightly toast hamburger buns on the grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
06 - Build each burger by placing lettuce on the bottom bun, adding the cooked patty, then layering with tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments of choice. Cover with the top bun.
07 - Serve immediately while hot with your preferred side dishes.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The 80/20 beef blend creates those irresistibly juicy burgers that make your eyes roll back just a little bit
  • Everything comes together in 25 minutes flat, making this perfect for Tuesday night desperation or Friday night celebration
02 -
  • That center depression really does work, the patties puff up in the middle as they cook and the thumb press keeps them flat
  • Let the meat come to room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking, it helps them cook evenly
03 -
  • Make a small indent in the center of each raw patty, it prevents the burger from puffing up into a ball shape while cooking
  • Season the patties generously, some of that seasoning will drip off during cooking and you want enough to remain on the meat
